Refund Policy

1. Scope and Incorporation

1.1. This Refund Policy (the “Policy”) governs free trials, charges, cancellations, and refunds in respect of the DoubleTrends™ subscription service operated by Cheng’s Data Service (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Policy is incorporated into and forms an integral part of the Terms of Service, and governs refunds to the exclusion of any other statement. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

2. Free Trial

2.1. A new Subscription may begin with a free trial period of thirty (30) days (the “Trial”). As a condition of the Trial, you must provide a valid payment method, which our payment processor collects and retains.

2.2. NO AMOUNT IS CHARGED DURING THE TRIAL. If you cancel at any time before the end of the Trial, your payment method will not be charged, and no refund is necessary or applicable because no charge will have been made.

3. Conversion, Charges, and Conditional Refunds

3.1. Unless cancelled before the end of the Trial, the Subscription converts to a paid annual Subscription and your payment method is charged the applicable Fees. The Subscription renews automatically for successive annual terms, and the applicable Fees are charged on each renewal date, until cancelled (each such charge, a “Charge”).

3.2. Conditional refund. Following any Charge (whether on conversion from the Trial or on any renewal), you may request a full refund of that Charge within fourteen (14) days of the date of that Charge, PROVIDED THAT NO SIGNAL HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO THE CHANNEL DURING THE PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF THAT CHARGE UNTIL THE DATE OF YOUR REFUND REQUEST.

3.3. ONCE A SIGNAL HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO THE CHANNEL ON OR AFTER THE DATE OF A CHARGE, THAT CHARGE IS NON-REFUNDABLE, ON THE BASIS THAT THE SERVICE HAS THEREBY DELIVERED ITS CORE VALUE FOR THE PERIOD IN QUESTION.

3.4. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS POLICY OR AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL FEES AND CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, AND NO REFUND IS PROVIDED FOR PARTIAL PERIODS, UNUSED PERIODS, OR PERIODS REMAINING AFTER CANCELLATION.

4. Cancellation

4.1. You may cancel the Subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future Charges and takes effect at the end of your then-current paid period, or, during the Trial, prevents conversion to a paid Subscription. You retain access to the Service until the end of the period for which you have paid.

5. How to Request a Refund; Processing

5.1. To request a refund permitted under Section 3, you must contact us at info@doubletrends.com from the email address used at checkout, within the applicable fourteen (14) day period.

5.2. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and are typically processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days, subject to the timing of your card issuer or bank.

5.3. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TO DECLINE A REFUND WHERE WE REASONABLY DETERMINE THAT A PATTERN OF REPEATED SUBSCRIBE-AND-REFUND ACTIVITY, ABUSE, OR BAD-FAITH CONDUCT HAS OCCURRED.

6. Statutory Rights

6.1. Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that you may have and that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario). Where such law applies, this Policy operates to the greatest extent that law permits.
